Dana Gleason, the godfather of pack design, and his partner Renee Sippel Baker have been working together for over 40 years to create a heritage of unmatched quality and durability in their packs. A distillation of time, space, and unwavering dedication to the task at hand, MYSTERY RANCH continues to offer be the standard of unprecedented strength and comfort today.

Designed in Bozeman, Montana to withstand the most arduous environments on the planet, these packs have been tested in the incinerating heat of raging wildfires, held their ground on the front lines, and tamed oppressive loads for the successful hunter.

True to their word when the world was upended by a pandemic, MYSTERY RANCH didn’t have to be asked to enlist their textiles and time. Stitch by stitch, they were among the first to provide quality facemask protection for Bozeman medical workers on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19.

FIRST LITE

There is more than one way to climb a mountain.

First Lite circumvented what had already been done and designed for what was to come, recognizing the potential of Merino wool to alter the experience of hunters who endure hours of high exertion as well as long bouts of stillness in a single hunt.

Working from dawn till dusk, they became the first to produce Merino wool in a camouflage pattern, taking the U.S. hunting community by storm in 2007.

ROAM RANCH

Where the buffalo roam. 

Deep in the heart of Texas, a story of revival is growing wild and free. Bison, turkeys, pigs and poultry dot the rolling hills, milling in Edenesque style. 

Under the stewardship and vision of Katie and Taylor, the previously barren fields of ROAM Ranch are amid a large-scale ecosystem restoration. 

As free-roaming bison and elk were the architects of North America's most fertile lands, the livestock on ROAM Ranch are used to replicate the pattern of native species.

By emulating the biodiversity found in nature, they are healing the land itself through regenerative practices. 

ROAM Ranch is rooted in their belief that meat can nourish our bodies, restore our land and allow our planet to thrive.
